Madison-Edwin “Ed” C. Janowski, age 79, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Meriter Hospital. He was born April 12, 1933, the son of Louis and Frances (Prusinowski) Janowski. Ed served his country in the Army from 1954 to 1956. He was retired from the Mendota Hospital in Madison after many years employed as an Institutional Aide. Ed was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He was an avid bowler and also enjoyed fishing.

Ed is survived by his sisters, Florence (Ferdinand) Neider of Vienna, VA, and Clara Schwebke of Albuquerque, NM; and various aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Alexander and Donald; and a sister Alice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, with Msgr. Charles Schluter officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10am until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ed’s name to St. Peter Catholic Church or to the Warner Park Community Center.
