So sad to hear of Cheri's sudden transition so long after her accident. I met Cheri many years ago at a long Retreat given by Thay and also follow her path of wonderful mindful teachings in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. Thank you for touching my life.
"No birth, No death", dearest sister.

Bless you, and yours. It was a pleasure to have known you, though not well, from the late 70's onward. You always acknowledged and remembered me when we'd pass, or say hello.
We will miss your great kindness and influence. Something we need so much more of these days. I hope to see you again in time. Namaste.

I didn't know this lovely woman but I do remember hearing about the mindfulness retreat for law-enforcement people. But reading her obituary brought me to tears. What a woman, ahead of her time with her work. And I am a cyclist as well. I hope to do some community thing in her name and her honor. Peace and comfort to all who knew and loved her.

Cheri, forever close to my heart where ever your travels have taken you and now beyond . So many years of sports, laughter, exploring this world and walking similar paths that would join and ebb and flow. Having you in my life since I was 16, is a blessing. I am a better human being always wanting to strive to be of good service in this world.
My heart aches yet I know you always are a part of me no matter where we are.
I love you my dear sister-friend. Your heart light continues to shine on through me and so many others you have touch. Thank you for all your gifts and presence you share.

Pig Baby, as you were so fondly called by all of the team including Cheri. Those were definitely the start of the glory days with Cheri, Coach/Pitcher Mryt, Dar, Debbie Dalsbo, Snow, Renee L, Freddie, Cindy G, Lonnie, Merideth, just to name a few. Cheri was such a writer already back then I remember her helping me to write an English essay for 12th grade class on the way to a softball game. I was so poor at writing. My topic for the essay was, "Why women should be allowed to be priests in the Catholic Church"!!!! For real, Cheri was brilliant then at 19 yrs while I was 17 yrs old and I could barely put thoughts onto paper. Little did we all know where our paths would take us in the future as we pondered and mulled our existence in the universe. As you did she had a presence and kindness back then as a young good rebel!!!!

I am so very sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to the family. May you find comfort in God's sure promise to restore our dear loved ones to life by means of a resurrection to a paradise earth, where sickness and death will be no more. "The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." (John 5:28,29) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.

My deepest condolences over the loss of Cheryll. Please know that the loss you're feeling will soon pass and be replaced with wonderful memories. The comfort from the scriptures can help during this difficult time, John 5:28,29 "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life."
Knowing that we can see our loved ones again in a future paradise earth, is a wonderful hope. My sympathies, Dave
