MIDDLETON/WINDSOR – Andrew Campos, age 69, passed away at his home after a short battle with lung cancer on Monday, August 28, 2017 with his family by his side. Andy was born on November 30, 1947 in New York, NY to Javier and Julia Campos. He grew up in Brooklyn, NY eventually attending Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute. Andy married his high school sweet heart, Andrea Nugent, on September 7, 1966 in Brooklyn, NY. He started his engineering career in Manhattan, NY and eventually relocated to Wisconsin where he specialized in designing stainless steel equipment for the food industry. Since he was bilingual, he traveled internationally for his work, spending a lot of time in South America. Andy was an avid golfer and bowler, bowling many 300 games. He enjoyed sci-fi, sports, spending time with his grandsons, where he rarely missed a game, and Friday Night Fish Frys at Cimaroli’s. He could do anything, our Handy Andy. Most of all, Andy loved spending time with his wife, the love of his life. We will greatly miss his love, creativity and knowledge.
Andy is survived by his wife of 51 years, Andrea; children, Kevin of Cross Plains, Cristina of Atlanta, GA, and Janine of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Jonathan and Dominic; siblings, John, Carmen (Rick), Milton (Carol), and Diana (Willy); and brother-in-law, Msgr. Joseph Nugent. Further survived by nieces, nephews, friends, and grand-dogs.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. OLAF CATHOLIC CHURCH, 623 Jefferson Street, DeForest, at 11AM on Friday, September 1, 2017, with Msgr. Joseph Nugent presiding. A visitation will be held from 9:30AM until time of Mass at the church on Friday.
