MADISON/MT. HOREB – Arnold Anton “Arnie” Miller, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at his home with family by his side. Arnie was born on January 10, 1931 in Roxbury, WI to parents, Urban and Mathilda (Pertzborn) Miller. Arnie married Dorothy Gill on July 30, 1953 at Holy Redeemer Church in Madison. They were blessed with 5 children. Arnie farmed with his family in Pine Bluff from an early age until 1962, when he began working with his brother, Clarence, getting his start in the furnace business. He later established his own business, Arnie’s Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc.

Arnie cherished spending time with his family. He loved to play cards, dance polkas, and garden. Arnie enjoyed his time at church on Sundays and often attended church picnics. He also had fun playing baseball for the Pine Bluff Catholic Youth Organization. Arnie loved to work, most especially working outside farming, picking berries, and gardening. He was always prepared to lend a hand and could fix anything. He will be remembered by his family and friends as very generous, always willing to help others, making sure those around him had a place to call home.

Arnie is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Dorothy Miller; children, Lucy Smith, Karen Schutte, Tom (Julie) Miller; daughter-in-law, Melissa Miller; grandchildren, Amy (Martin), Robin (Chris), Scott, Laura, Jordan, Danielle (Mike), Justin (Renee), Josh (Mandy), Jacob, Michael, and Claire; great-grandchildren, Madison, Carter, Jackson, Reagan, Addison, Evan, Ryann, and Nash. Arnie is further survived by a brother, Leo (Dorothy) Miller.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter in infancy, Mary Ann; son, Mark Miller; son-in-law, Dave Smith; brothers, Clarence and Robert Miller; sister, Rosie Domini.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Agrace HospiceCare Team.
