DeForest – Carol J. Myhre, age 76, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the University Hospital in Madison. She was born on July 5, 1941 in Youngstown, OH, the daughter of William and Dorothy (Drummond) Owen. Carol was an artistic and loving person. She used her love of arts and crafts to brighten the lives of those around her, especially her 5 grandchildren, the joy of her life. She made every birthday and holiday special by making costumes, creating special cakes and designing personal birthday cards. She was active in Christ Lutheran Church and led the Vacation Bible School Arts and Crafts for 30 plus years. She always served with a willing spirit and a happy heart.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Tanya (Mike) Arnold; son, Eric (Katie) Myhre; and 5 grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Makena, Joseph and Aaron. She is further survived by her brother, William (Kathleen Owen; brother-in-law, Gerald (Sandy) Myhre, sister-in-law, Janet (Chris) Ogden and the many wonderful friends at Christ Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, John Myhre; and her parents, William and Dorothy Owen.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 220 S. Main St., Deforest, with Rev. Sue Beadle presiding. A visitation will take place at the church from 9amuntil the time of service.
