DEFOREST – Cherie Jill Hall, age 70, passed away at her home with family by her side on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. She was born in Madison on August 15, 1948 to parents, Clarence and Doris (Beebe) Grahn. Cherie graduated from Wisconsin Academy and went on to earn her nursing degree at Andrews University. She was an LPN for 25 years in the Milwaukee area. During her career, she worked primarily in nursing homes, where she met and cared for her late husband, Clare “Monnie” Hall. Together they lived in Thiensville before moving to DeForest in 1994 to care for her mom.
Cherie was re-baptized in the Madison East Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was very active in her church always willing to lend a hand. She relished travelling around the country with Monnie and Kyle making stops at historical sites. Cherie spent her summers working in the yard, garage saleing, sightseeing with Cheli, Rayne & Chenna and sitting on the front porch visiting with her dogs at her feet. Her winters were full of Charles Wysocki puzzles, cross stitch, book reading and organizing her doll collection. She looked forward to camping trips to Galena with her sister, Green Bay with Monnie & Kyle to watch spring training practices and Campmeeting for family reunions. Her death has left a huge whole in the fabric of her family.
Cherie is survived by her son, Kyle Hall; brother, Larry (Carolyn) Grahn; sisters, Loyala Grahn and Janie (Ron) Pauls. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Rosann Knopp.
