MADISON, WI / CHEVY CHASE, MD – Dolores J. Bryan, age 90, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, October 2, 2017. Dot was born on August 14, 1927 in Milwaukee, WI to Roman and Lillian Lepak. She grew up in Milwaukee, later attending UW Madison and also American University in Washington, DC. Dot married Edward H. Bryan on January 29, 1949 in Milwaukee, WI. Throughout their married life they lived in several cities. They settled in the greater Washington, DC area, at which time she began her career in the nonprofit sector. She relocated to Madison following Ed’s death. She was a supporter of the performing arts and WPT/Masterpiece Theater, and loved the Washington Post crossword puzzles. Dot possessed a sharp wit and keen sense of humor, which will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Dot is survived by her children, James, Nancy, and Liz (Robin) Carley; granddaughters, Jamie Carley and Jennifer (Travis) Braga; great grandson, Sebastian Braga; and brother, Ron (Andie) Lepak. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed.
A private family service will be held at a later date, with burial at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI.
