Madison- Jiing-Yun Lee, age 79, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Oak Park Place in Madison. He will be remembered for his strong mind, kind heart, gentle spirit, and incredible grace.
Jiing-Yun was born in 1938 in Taipei, Taiwan, to Wen-chin and Chen-Ye Lee. He graduated from National Taiwan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. He emigrated to the United States to pursue graduate education. He earned a master’s degree from Utah State University and a doctorate of philosophy (PhD) in chemistry from the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor.
In 1967, he married Chien-Hui Chang, whom he loved at first sight. Together they raised two children and enjoyed the addition of two grandchildren to their family.
He worked at Waste Research and Reclamation, a chemical recycling company, in Eau Claire for 35 years as Director of Research and later Vice President of Operations..
He is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his beloved wife, daughter Lisa (Hiep), son Michael (Tomoko), and grandsons Sam and Alex.
