Madison/Sun City- John A. Beld, age 71, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 27, 2017. He was born in Madison, WI on July 26, 1946, the son of Frederick “Smiley” and Lorraine (Mooney) Beld. John went to Madison East High School where he was a member of the wrestling team and later graduated from UW Whitewater. He worked as an IT Consultant for numerous companies and independently throughout his professional career. John loved to golf and was a member of Cherokee Country Club in Madison and the Sun City South Men’s Golf Association. He was a lifelong resident of Madison until his retirement when he moved to Arizona to enjoy the weather and golf.
John is survived by his uncles, Patrick (Joyce) Mooney, Clarence Lacinsky and William (Alice) Beld; and many cousins and friends; and special friends, Jerry Brieby, Ann Graham and Tom Wills..
He was preceded in death by his parents; his maternal and paternal grandparents; and aunts and uncles, Rosemary (Andy) Anderson, Delores Lacinsky and Steve Beld. John was a generous, easy going likeable person and anybody who knew John, immediately liked him. If in the hereafter, there is golf heaven, then that’s where John will be.
