Waunakee/Madison – Patricia “Pat” Ann Speerschneider, age 86, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017.  She was born June 1, 1931 in Green Bay, to Michael and Theresa (Waistock) Hettig.  She was the fifth of six daughters.  She graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1949.  Pat married James Speerschneider on August 18, 1956 at Saint Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay.  She met Jim through Gerald and Marianne White, Jim’s college roommate and Pat’s sister.

Throughout her life Pat was a homemaker, worked at the Public Service in Green Bay, Trumpy Cheese in Monroe and Cuna Mutual in Madison.  Pat was a good golfer, winning her Handicap Division in the city of Madison Golf Tournament.  She golfed with her friend Rosemary early in the morning for many years.  Pat also enjoyed sewing, cooking, playing Bridge, doing laundry, chocolate, old fashioneds and Pontoon boat rides with family.

She is survived by her husband, James; son, Dan (Sharon); daughters, Jane (Michael) Sebzda and Kay Speerschneider; grandson, Richie Sebzda; sisters, Kathleen Hettig, Rita Brault and Marianne (Gerald) White; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Theresa Wall and Geraldine Hayes; and brothers-in-law, Cliff Wall, Don Hayes and Robert Brault. 

A Memorial Gathering will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be written to the Living Stones of Jesus, 5650 Portage Road, Madison, WI 53718.
