Obituary

Madison – Ryan Michael Seversin “Sevo”, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019 in Madison. Ryan was born on April 13, 1987 in Madison, the son of Michael and Lisa (Martinson) Seversin. When Ryan was in grade school, he was introduced to many sports including soccer, baseball, football and hockey (he played AAA hockey traveling year round). Ryan followed through successfully with his passion of football and hockey at Madison LaFollette High School where he graduated in 2005. Ryan was employed at Seversin’s Service Center and Auto Wares/Bumper to Bumper. Ryan had a great interest in the state sports’ teams including the Badgers, Packers, Bucks and Brewers. These interests involved a fascination with fantasy football where he and his Dad could get together to compare draft choices. Ryan enjoyed family activities such as camping, going to the family cottage on a lake in northern Wisconsin (where he loved all water sports and could catch a fish or two), and he was a frequent visitor to Disney World, his mom’s happy place. Many yearly travels to Corvair conventions were enjoyed, where he helped compete in his dad’s 1965 Corsa Convertible. His family has traditional holiday and birthday celebrations that Ryan enjoyed. Ryan was a very sensitive, funny, warm and caring person. His big blue eyes and mischievous smile will be missed by all who knew him.

Ryan leaves behind a large and loving family. Two years ago Ryan became a father of a beautiful, delightful little boy. Oh how he adored his son, Isaiah. He is further survived by his parents, Mike and Lisa; sister, Stefanie (Nick) Westfall; his niece, Nora and nephew, Gavin (Godson) Westfall (to them he was uncle RyRy); grandmother, Connie Seversin; grandparents, David and Ginny Martinson; aunts, Pam (Jeff) Parker, Lynn (Jeff) Riley, Julie Seversin and Marybeth (Brently) Cooper; uncle, Scott (Stacy) Seversin; cousin, Melissa (Ian) Grau; Isaiah’s mom, Auriel McNutt; and many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by grandmother, Sally Martinson; and grandfather, Thomas Seversin.
