Obituary
Madison-Beverly C. Olson, age 92, passed away on Monday October 21, 2024. She was born on March 24, 1932 in Reedsburg, WI, the daughter of Wallace R. and Erma L. (Swafford) Jensen. She and her siblings spent several years during WWII at the Otterbein Home in Ohio, with she and her sister Evelyn returning home to her mother and younger sister, Aileen in 1945. She graduated from Central High School, Madison, in 1950. She married Ivan Olson on July 1, 1955 at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Monona. Together they welcomed Jeff, Dave and Karen. Making their home on Madison's North side, on Debra Lane along with some wonderful neighbors. She worked as a secretary. Working at Trinity United Methodist Church, also for Gaylord Catering and for the Wisconsin Conference of United Methodist Churches. After her retirement she enjoyed working for Barry Benson CPA during tax season. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she continued to attend online after she was no longer able to attend in person. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and quilting. She especially enjoyed being a Grandma and was very proud to be a great grandma. She loved attending all activities for her grandchildren, starting with her great niece and nephew, Becki and Jon, continuing on with her grandsons, Corey, Trevor, and Jaret. She never missed an event.
Beverly is survived by her sons, Jeffrey (Debra) and David Olson; her daughter, Karen (Randall) Kleinfeldt; grandsons, Corey (Sophie Shay) Olson, Trevor (Monica Kane) Olson and Jaret Kleinfeldt; great granddaughters, Olivia and Amelia Olson and great grandson, Nicholas Olson; Sister, Aileen Gray; Sisters-in-law, Marge Olson and Jeanette Olson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ivan; her granddaughter, Kaylee Kleinfeldt; sister and brother-in-law, Lillian and Robert Anderson; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Glenrose Jensen; brother and sister-in-law, John and Pat Jensen; sister and brother-in-law Evelyn and John Schwoegler; brother-in-law, Frank Gray; in-laws, Eunice and James McCredie, Marion and Harold Hubrick, Leroy and Edith Olson; Harold Olson and William Olson, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N Sherman Ave, Madison at 2:00pm on Monday October 28, 2024 with Rev. David Hart presiding, visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of service.
