Condolences

I remember Mr. Nielsen, my good friend, Kathy Nielsen's father, as a steadfast, hardworking and unwavering man. I am happy to have known him while growing up in Madison. He was a good neighbor separated by a large cornfield and I have many happy memories of the days Kathy and I would make mischief as many teenagers did, and admired how well he put up with us. I never knew he enjoyed woodworking and photography and am happy that is how Kathy became the artistic person she is. I send my condolences to both Kathy and Eric and send my support to them, confident he will be reborn with family and friends. ----Genie Chow

A very beautiful soul. I am so thankful for the chance to sit and talk to him. Christian was like talking to a history book. I loved the time we had, and I will cherish him in my heart forever. Tonya Kluever

My Christian sympathies to Erika and Eric on the loss of their Dad. I remember when I found a crochet doily pattern that I loved and really wanted to make but the pattern was only available in German. Erika asked her Dad if he would translate it to English for me, he didnt hesitate. I still have the pattern. Such a wonderful, kind soul. Your Dads love is forever!

Dear Kathy and Eric, my deepest sympathy is with you on the loss of your dad. The wonderful photos of your family bring back many warm memories. Like the time when your dad so kindly came over to our backyard and built a wooden hutch for our dear shared pet rabbit Dutchess. I remember being amazed at how quickly and easily he put it together as if with the snap of a finger. And all the projects in your basement that he would help you build with his expertise. I can just picture walking from our house, cutting through a corner of the horse pasture on a path lined with sweet violets through magical green woods, to arrive at your house surrounded by your moms beautiful flower gardens. Stepping through the kitchen door Id be greeted with your moms kind and gentle smile, and the delicious scent of all varieties of freshly baked cookies, bars and cakes laid out on all the counters and tabletops, more than Ive ever seen in my life, and seemingly every time I came over. Id say hi to your dad whod be relaxing in a comfy chair in the living room, and there would always be a neighbors cat (George or Barney) lounging around, because they obviously loved your house better than their own! I love the photos of your dad and the desserts. I remember how you travelled to Europe with him, and I know you will always treasure all the good times shared with your loving parents. My love and hugs to you! ️ Lena

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
