Lindy and Eric, my heart is broken and my deepest sympathy to you both. I said so many times I have to see him again and of course seems too busy for my friend. Dave has been missed by so many of us in the trades when he retired, you will never find a more caring, thoughtful, and intelligent person or carpenter in the trades. Dave kept everyone in line, laid out projects, and held our hands to make sure the work was done correctly and perfect. As the"Sparky", it was my job to ride him about something, anything I could do to get him going, but he was the original Mr Cool. On occasion, we would stop at the Oakcrest and discuss our day over a few beers. I will miss him dearly. Please let me know what you need from me, Dwight Zweifel.

I was in Boy Scouts with Dave's son Eric. Dave set a great example: he was was knowledgeable, honorable, fun-loving, and light hearted. I know he had a strong influence on me and on some of the other boys. My sincerest condolences to Eric, Lindy, and all of Dave's family.

Too many great memories with Dave from grade school, high school, and beyond. Extremely sad to hear about your loss to the whole family 😢❤️

Dave and I met while I was a student at MATC. Of course it was because of a building project. We became good friends and Dave helped me build my house and was my best man in my wedding. We continued doing many building projects together as well as camping and canoeing trips. Dave was one of the most generous and giving persons I've ever known. My condolences to Lindy and all of Dave's family I had the pleasure to meet along the way.

Lindy and family, so sorry for your loss of Dave. In high school he was like a brother to me. I only have fond memories of him

Dave and I were friends and classmates since 1960. He was a creative, gentle giant. I recall the replica of the Ark of the Covenant he and his dad built and brought to Trinity. We were confirmed together and graduated together. He was salutatorian and I was valedictorian of our 8th grade class. He sure didn't like having to write a speech! He was very artistic and creative. Yearly my family would gather at the Bunke home for corn roasts and to pick apples from the orchard. Dave's mom is my sister Gloria's godmother. Gloria abd her family used to live two block from Dave, Lindy, and Eric so it was great seeing them on my Madison visits. It was great seeing Dave and Lindy at our 40th class reunion. They didn't get our 50th last year due to Dave's declining health. God's peace and comfort to all his ohana. In God's time there will be a glad reunion in heaven

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
