Obituary For Judith Ann Riggleman

Merrimac- Judith Ann Riggleman of Merrimac, WI, age 79, passed away unexpectedly at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, WI on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.

She was born on February 28, 1943, in Minnesota to Linford Ralph Hanson and Evelyn Irene (Edwards). She married Richard Dale Riggleman on October 5, 1963, in Madison, Wisconsin.

She had the kindest and most supportive heart, and her love for her family was indescribable. She enjoyed spending time at their lake home and cabin, with family and friends, gardening, and planting flowers, and cheering on her beloved packers and brewers. Her love extended far beyond her friends and family – she loved caring for her cats, feeding the birds, and watching the deer with her husband. She was the absolute greatest – the greatest wife, the greatest mother, the greatest grandmother, and great-grandmother too. She will be missed deeply each day, but her joy of life will be carried on through her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Richard Dale Riggleman of 59 years; her son Jeffrey (Missy) Riggleman of Johnson Creek, WI; her daughter Jodi (Todd) Kroneman of DeForest, WI; her brother Chuck Hanson of Hazel Green, WI; and her six grandchildren Tyler (Jody) Kroneman, Jordan (Justin) Silvis, Kylie Kroneman, Shelby (Karley) Riggleman, Tatum Riggleman, and Hunter Kroneman; and her great-grandson Tracen Kroneman. She is preceded in death by her father, Linford Ralph Hanson and her mother Evelyn Irene (Edwards) Hanson, and her older sister Dolores Hanson.

There will be a celebration of life for immediate friends and family at a later date.

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
