Obituary For Lloyd “Bud” B. Jones

DeForest- Lloyd “Bud” B. Jones, age 87, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022, at his home. He was born on September 14, 1934, to Lloyd and Elizabeth (Fritz) Jones in Independence, Iowa. Bud proudly served his county in the Army and was stationed in Germany.

Bud started driving truck at age 15 and continued to drive truck for most of his life. In his free time, he enjoyed going to truck shows, drinking lots of coffee, and having conversations. Bud could do anything he put his mind too and would help anyone who needed it.

Bud is survived by his wife, Norma (Decker) Fritz; stepchildren, Ray (Julie) Hartje, Don (Jolene) Hartje, Gary (Gail) Hartje, Bob (Virginia) Hartje, Rich Hartje, Jean (Glen) Hartje, Tom (Diane) Hartje; sister, Norma Valdovinos and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Delwin; sisters, Louise, Arneatha and Carol.

A Celebration of Bud’s Life will be held at a later date.
