Obituary For Mary Ellen Bosold

Mary Ellen Bosold, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Agrace Hospice surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 28, 1949, to Neil and Elizabeth (Togstad) Jimieson in Madison, Wisconsin. Mary married her high school sweetheart, Mike Bosold, on September 4, 1971. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2021. After graduating from Edgewood High School, Mary earned her technical diploma from Madison Area Technical College as a medical assistant. She worked at Madison OB/GYN and Dean Urgent Care for many years. After the kids were older, Mary built a very successful career as a real estate agent, working for Stark Realty, Bunbury & Associates Realtors, and, most recently, First Weber Realtors. Mary enjoyed working for many years with her business partner, Yvonne Gern. Grandma Mary adored her seven grandchildren and loved their trips to the zoo, school shopping outings, and birthday and holiday celebrations. Mary and Mike loved to travel and enjoyed many fun vacations, including several cruises, a trip to London in 2000, and many winter vacations to visit special relatives in Palm Desert, California. Mary and Mike were also avid UW Badgers fans and have been football season ticket holders for over 45 years. Many of those years were spent watching the Badgers with longtime friends Mike and Kathy Mentzer. Mary is survived by her loving husband, Mike Bosold of Fitchburg, Wisconsin; their three wonderful children, Bridget (Chad) Koenig of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, Molly (Jon) Pfister of Waukesha, Wisconsin, and Brian (Colleen) Bosold of Plymouth, Minnesota; seven grandchildren: Ashleigh, Bella, and Brendan Koenig; Brooke and Alex Pfister; and Grace and Kira Bosold. Mary is also survived by her brother, Jim Jimieson; sister, Ann Sweeney, both of Madison, Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Sherry Jimieson of Fitchburg, Wisconsin; brothers-in-law, Dick (Margaret) Bosold of Huntley, Illinois; Tom (Sue) Bosold of Aurora, Colorado; and 12 very special nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her oldest brother, John Jimieson; and brother-in-law, Tim Sweeney. A special thank you to Mary’s dearest high school friends, also known as the FIPS—Kris Rogers, Coleen Flad, Stephanie Rettig, and the late Judy O’Brien. This group shared many laughs and tears over the years with Mary. The family appreciates all those who provided love and support to Mary and her family and spent time by Mary’s side in her last few months of life. The family would also like to thank the staff from Agrace Hospice, who provided wonderful care to Mary both in her home and at the Agrace residence, and Stephanie Clement for her assistance with Mary’s at-home care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s name to Agrace Hospice https://www.agrace.org/donate/donate-today/ or a charity of your choice.

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

James S. | July 2020

The professional manner of the staff made a difficult time a little easier.

Lynda R. | July 2020

Services provided for both parents were perfect, on time, and no issues. Brenda is awesome and strong!

Michael M. | July 2020

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
