Madison - Bernie Solomon, 88 years old, died peacefully in his home on October 02, 2022 in Madison WI. He was born in Milton PA, attended Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in Lancaster PA, and in the Air Force. He later worked as a civilian for the US Navy Department of Defense as a systems analyst for the Trident submarines. He enjoyed an early retirement, coaching baseball, gardening, and exploring new places with his family.

Bernie was preceded in death by his son Benjamin, his parents Oren and Bernadine Solomon, sisters Jane Houser and Barbara Conner, and Mary Ann; and his brother Andrew.

Oren is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sandy Solomon, children Martha Solomon, Lisa Chase and her husband Charles Chase, and daughter Elizabeth Solomon, as well as 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers David (Joyce), Joseph (Mary Ann), and Gerald; and his sister Christine. .

His family would like to extend our gratitude to the wonderful loving care provided by Agrace, especially Rebecca and Carmen. They eased a difficult journey.

There are no services planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made to the VA Hospital or Agrace Hospice.
