Obituary For Patricia Ann Glenn

Our dear mother, Patricia Ann Glenn, sadly passed away on January 12th, 2023 at the age of 66. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She also had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community in Madison, Wisconsin. Patricia grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with her sisters Virginia, Alesher ,Ruby and Edna. They loved to spend time together dressing alike and dancing. She went to Riverside school with lifelong friends Tenna and Debbie. Patricia loved to crochet, play pokeno, raise her dog Ski, play cards and dominoes. Patricia worked at Madison metro until she retired in 2014.

She was preceded in death by her mother Lee Girther Glenn, father Henry Glenn and sister Edna Taylor, and is survived by her son Demell Glenn (Carmella), daughter Tajuanna Person (Daniel), son Frederick Holifield, daughter Lynneah Randle (Chris), sister Ruby Grijaliba, Alesher Glenn, Virginia Grey (Kevin), life-long friend Joleen Taliaferro, grandchildren LaQuisha Glenn, Clarence Hood Jr, Anthony Shultz, Shalita Hood, Shania Walton, DeAndre Glenn, Roderick Rogers, Demell Glenn Jr, Jamiliah Harris, Stanley Miles Jr, Lynnessa Miles, Roman Miles, Krislyn Randle, Frederick Holifield Jr and Krislynnaeh Randle, great grandchildren Zariyah Hood, Clarence Hood lll, Richard Miller Jr, Trenton Miller and Alijah Shultz. Hosts of cousins, nieces, nephews and many people she mothered, raised and loved. Which gave her the name Mama P.

Patricia loved to show her love through cooking for others and would always make sure everyone felt welcome in her home.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Andrea Segerson and Mal Carter for being an extra set of hands and shoulder to cry on and helping make sure mom was comfortable during her transition. Also a big thank to Agrace Hospice for answering numerous questions with patience and care and taking our mom. Thank you Trina for taking the time to set up the meal train.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. noon on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Sherman Avenue United Methodist Church, 3705 N Sherman Ave, Madison, WI 53704, with Rev. Deborah Mejchar officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Repass- will be held immediately after service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, please send plants to the church, as Patricia was not a fan of flowers.

    I am so sorry to hear that Pat has left us. I knew Pat working at Madison Metro. I knew her as a driver and Supervisor. She always so nice to me and seeing her always made my day. From that great smile to her personality. We were close to the same age and that's why enjoyed each other. Thank you dear and I will never forget you...RIP until me again!
