Obituary For Serene Ann Lendborg

Serene Ann Lendborg, age 51, joined her Guardian Angel, Cheryl Delo on Monday, May 16, 2022, at UW Hospital after an extended illness. She was born on October 7, 1970, in Madison the daughter of Ruthann Snow (Olson) and John Lendborg. She grew up in Fitchburg and graduated from Verona High School in 1988. After many years of supporting people with disabilities in their homes she went on to get her associates degree at MATC for social work. Serene enabled many disabled people to take trips of a lifetime and create memories. She enjoyed music, crafting, her cats, but most importantly spending time with her daughter. Jennifer and her were always going out to eat and shopping. We love you Serene, but Jennifer loves you more.

Serene is survived by her daughter, Jennifer; mother, Ruthann (Ron) Snow; father, John (Jenny) Lendborg; siblings, Nicole Lendborg (Christine Haas), Adam Snow, and Amy Snow; nieces & nephews, Emily, Richie, Mikey (Allison), Bella, Tiesto, and Kaylee; and special cousin, Bobbie (Kevin) Barnett. She is further survived by other family and friends.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family or YWCA of Madison.

John and Jenny, I am so sorry for your loss. I never realized it when we worked together, but I remember Serene from Verona. I graduated two years before her. May your memories bring you peace during the difficult time ahead.

  • June 14, 2022

Nicole, Chris and all of your family; May the fond memories of her keep her close to your heart.

Ruth Ann and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I loved how the obituary expressed how much she helped people. She must have brought sunshine to those who needed it the most. Nothing is more gracious then to help another. The soul rejoices in the giver of care and the receiver is for ever changed.
She was very much like her Mother. She is a nurse and I have seen her care for many people over of the years. Really, there is nothing better to serve the greater good. You give dignity and respect. Ruth Ann took care of my Mother.
May Serene have peace and rest for her labor.
I also send my peace and hope to her family. May her memories sustain you. ~ Sincerely, Robin Kroetz ️

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

The professional manner of the staff made a difficult time a little easier.

Lynda R. | July 2020

Services provided for both parents were perfect, on time, and no issues. Brenda is awesome and strong!

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
