Obituary

MADISON- Carol Ricordati, age 78, passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital on January 8, 2021. She was born on February 20, 1942 to Theodore and Joan (Kirkicki) Obler in Chicago, IL.

Carol graduated from Chicago’s Maria High School in 1959. She attended college in Chicago at Northwestern University for Interior Design. Carol then moved to Medinah, IL, raised her 2 children and later moved to Madison, WI and worked as a bookkeeper for 17 years at Anchor Bank.

Carol was a gentle soul who loved caring for others and making their surroundings beautiful. She cherished her family, especially her 2 granddaughters, and was a large part of their lives. She enjoyed spontaneous road trips with her brother, singing with her sister, Hallmark channel and classic movies, everything sweet, and sipping wine with her friends.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Gina (Greg), son, David, and two granddaughters, Alyssa and Deanna.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Jo Ann, and her brother, Ted.

In lieu of flowers, donations to SSM Health at Home Hospice would be appreciated.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N Sherman Ave, Madison. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M until time of Mass on Thursday at the church.
