Jack Caldwell

FITCHBURG – Jack Denis Caldwell, age 71, died from complications of spinal cord atrophy on Sunday, May 1, 2016. Jack was born on January 21, 1945 in Madison, WI to Earl and Velma Caldwell. He grew up in Hollendale and shortly after graduation entered the US Army. Jack married Suzann Mooney on November 5, 1971. He worked at Oscar Mayer for 35 years and as well owned and operated Greenfield Landscaping with his sons. Jack was also the Mayor of The Parkway Restaurant Coffee Clutch for several terms. He enjoyed watching the Packers, baseball, car racing and especially his grandkids playing. Jack was always willing to help a person in need.

Jack is survived by his wife of 45 years, Suzann; children, Daniel (Jamie), Scott (Stephanie), and Kari (Doug) Stampfli; grandchildren, Tegan (Michael) Berg, Samuel & Matthew Stampfli; great granddaughter, London Berg; also loved very much, Katlyn & Jacob Martinson; siblings, Gary (Carol), Ada DeFore, and Marcia (Al) Bloedow.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM at ALL SAINTS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2951 Chapel Valley Road, Fitchburg, on Wednesday, May 4, 2016. A Visitation will be held from 10:00AM until time of the service at the church on Wednesday.
