Donald "Don" Koch

Donald “Don” Robert Koch, age 72, passed away on April 9, 2025 at his home in DeForest, WI. He was born on February 10, 1953 in Madison, WI to parents, Robert and Dilene “Yavonne” (Murrey) Koch. After graduating high school, Don joined the US Navy, serving during Vietnam from 1971-1975 with the Aviation Ordinance group on the USS Saratoga.

Don married Patricia Louise Kopp on May 6, 1978. During his career, he worked at Madison Gas & Electric Co. and Oscar Mayer Co. He loved hunting, fishing, spending time with friends and family, and always enjoyed a good cigar.

Don is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia “Pat” Koch; sons, Jonathon and Nicholas; sisters, Debbie Schrank, Robin Koch, Cheryl Koch; sisters-in-law, Mayre Menard, Tresa (Gary) Wolfe, Marsha Kopp, Connie Kopp; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Tom Koch; brothers-in-law, Richard (Lois) Kopp, Larry Kopp, Kalcie Kopp, Charlie Schrank, Virgil (Lorraine) Peterson, Phil (Norma) Robbins, Craig (Carol) Lack.
