Adeline Marty

DeForest-Adeline F. Marty, age 102, passed away on Wednesday, May 11,
2016 at Artisan Assisted Living in DeForest. She was born on August 7, 1913 in Fisk, WI, the daughter of William and Augusta
(Schiefelbein) Trapp. Adeline graduated from Oshkosh High School and attended Oshkosh State Teachers’ College. She taught at Bennett School, a one room rural elementary school, in Omro, WI for three years. She was an elementary aide and tutor in the Kettle Morraine School District for many years. Adeline married Robert Marty on May 28, 1952. She enjoyed gardening, reading, emailing, researching on the internet and writing. She was a member of the DeForest Women’s Study Club, DeForest Lunch Bunch, Badger Book Club, Diamond Dragons Book Club, DeForest Library Writers Read Group and was a volunteer at DeForest Area Community and Senior Center.

Adeline is survived by her daughter, Jane (Robert) Henze; grandchildren, Joshua (Deanna Mitchell) Henze, Matthew Henze, Megan (Kasey Miller) Henze and Jennifer Henze.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; and three brothers and two sisters.

A Funeral Service will be held at 5pm on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 220 S Main St, DeForest, with Rev. Sue Beadle presiding. Visitation will be held from 4pm until the time of service. Burial will take place at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Eagle, WI on Monday, May 16, 2016.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Christ Lutheran Church or Agrace Hospice.
