Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tom Watts, who departed this life on April 16, 2025, at the age of 77.
Born on September 2, 1947, in Madison, Wisconsin, Tom was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He touched the lives of many through his lifelong careers as a CPA and an Army Veteran. Outside of work, Tom enjoyed volunteering with Wisconsin Military Funeral Honors and at St. Peter Catholic Church. On his free time, he enjoyed watching professional wrestling, golfing, bowling and going to and watching college and professional sports.
Tom is survived by his two children, Brian (MayLinda) Watts, Tracy (David) Velte, his two brothers Bob (Kate) Watts, Dick (Valerie) Watts, sister-in-law Katherine (Larry) Ratcliff and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen, his parents, mother-in-law, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 5001 N Sherman Ave, Madison. A visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Military Funeral Honors will follow after Mass. Lunch will be served following Military Funeral Honors. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and share memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made at the church in the donation box, in Tom’s memory. For those who wish to send flowers, arrangements can be purchased through Naly’s Floral Shop, located at 1203 N. Sherman Ave, Madison, WI or by calling (608) 467-6610.
He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

Tom was a great friend and rival when we used to do our two mile run for wing annual pt test.he loved to fly front seat when we flew cobras. He will always be in my heart and mind. Love you brother. May. Almighty God let me see you again in later life. What a super guy for all time. KB
