Well, JD, that is fine picture of you above, as is the bike parked to the right. It's been quite awhile since I last saw you in person and as I was hoping to do so sometime in the future, I blew my chance. But, I did not blow my memories of you, which are considerable. They began at Cecil's in 1969, then extended to working for you and June at Outrageous Ties, on West Main Street, in 1970. Sure, I was there to repair a couple of shoes and make a couple pairs of sandals, but the gain was mine more than yours. I spent the summer nights with your 66 Chevy Van, parading the town and imitating your ability to drive "three on the tree" with your feet. I found an infinite capacity to treat others with interest and respect regardless of their place in life. I gained music in Charles Lloyd and Don Crawford -- both of whom I still listen and think of you when doing so. So too, Al Kooper. And, I remember as you transitioned to the antiques business, searched carousel horses for Alex Jordan, and a bit of stained glass as well. May all the memories of you be as good as mine, be at peace my friend.
