Mona Duppen
January 01, 1932 - June 05, 2025
Obituary
Mona Lou Duppen, age 93, reunited with her beloved husband, Ron, on June 5, 2025, at Parkside Assisted Living. Mona was born on January 1, 1932, to Carroll and Mary (Moran) Schultz. She attended the Deforest School District and graduated from DeForest High School in 1949.
On June 10, 1950, she married Ronald Duppen. Mona and Ron had a love you don’t find very often. You rarely saw one without the other. They had been married 69 years at the time of his passing in 2019. They never had children of their own but dearly loved all their nieces and nephews. They attended every family event, enjoying being with family and watching the kids grow up. The kids all loved Mona and Ron.
Mona worked for AAA in Madison and then spent the majority of her years working for the Federal government. First at USAFI and then at Truax working with the Adjutant General. She retired at the age of 50. She and Ron lived in Madison for over 40 years before moving to DeForest. She was a long-time member of Christ Lutheran Church in DeForest.
Ron and Mona traveled to Europe multiple times with their good friend Werner Ingen and members of the Alpine Brass. They both loved the German music and traveled to watch various performances.
Mona is survived by her sister Lois Anderson, her brother Randy (Sara) Schultz, her sister-in-law Sandra (Cal) Smith, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ron, her sister Marlene Brodeur, brother-in-law Don Anderson, brother and sister-in-law Neil (Lois) Duppen, niece Vicky Jensen, nephews Karl Duppen and Tommy Brodeur, great niece Heidi Fryk and great-great nephew Brett Babcock. She was also preceded in death by many loved family members and dear friends.
Per Mona’s wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial. A private interment will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Parkside Assisted Living and Brighton Hospice for their care and concern for Mona. Memorial donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, DeForest, WI or Cornerstone Community Center in DeForest, WI.

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21:4
