Madison –
Roxy-Lee Hansen, age 75, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025. She was born on March 12, 1950, in Windsor, New York, the daughter of Jacqueline (Phelps) Button. She was raised in Windsor by Jacqueline and Milton Button. Roxy graduated from Windsor Central High School in 1968. She then attended Baptist Bible College in Clark Summit, PA, where she met the father of her children, Gordon Kietzke. They were blessed with three daughters, Leslie, Erin and Jackie. Through her own example, Roxy raised three strong, loving, and devoted women.
Roxy started her bus driving career with Verona Bus Service. Once she began working at Springs Window Fashions in Middleton, she moved to driving school bus for the Middleton/Cross Plains School District, where she met her loving and devoted husband of 30 years, Kurt Alan Hansen. In her career and in life, Roxy was a friend to many and was always there when anyone needed a listening ear.
Roxy and Kurt loved to travel across the United States and loved visiting casinos with their friends. She also enjoyed spending time with and loving on her grandchildren. Roxy was a talented seamstress and quilter, along with enjoying other crafts.
Roxy is survived by her husband, Kurt; her daughters, Leslie Dallman, Erin Kietzke and Jacqueline (Joseph) Herbst; her grandchildren, Andrew and Brenden Koresh, Audrey Dallman, Elizabeth Keller and Roxy Herbst; and her sisters, Anne Wolf and Mary Sue Schier.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Gordon Kietzke; her best friend, Marita Helleckson; and her brother-in-law, David Wolf.
The family would like to thank Madison Fire Rescue-Station 7, the staff at Fresnius Kidney Care dialysis clinic, and the staff at UW Hospital.
