Obituary

Verona – On Wednesday, June 11, 2025, Jonathan Kimball Goth passed away unexpectedly due to an unknown heart condition at home with his partner by his side.

He was born on July 9, 1980, to Francis L Goth and Karen I Eberhardt (Nelson Goth) in Madison. Jonathan was so excited to be a dad and has two wonderful children, Madelyne and Ashton Goth, both from Verona. He was a devoted father with a big heart.

Jonathan attended Verona Schools where he participated in youth and high school wrestling and as a senior competed at state. In his late 20’s he found a passion for competing in the Madison Strongman Competitions.

Jonathan was a trim carpenter by trade and later founded Eclipse Contracting, Inc. As a self-employed small business owner, he was incredibly fortunate to have the loyal crew he’s worked closely with over the past 14 years. Jonathan was adored across the industry for his craftsmanship and attention to detail.

In late 2021 he met the love of his life. His true partner in crime, Beth Pfeiffer. Though their time together was cut short he never wavered on the love they shared, the adventures they took or the plans they had for the future.

Jonathan is survived by his partner, Beth; his children Madelyne, and Ashton, his mother Karen (John) Eberhardt, his siblings; Ben (Laura) Goth, Monica (Jan) Stage, Stephanie (Gerard) Ritter; nieces and nephews including Noah, Avery and Graham Goth, Annika and Vanessa Klaeser, Jason, Zachary, and Emily Ritter; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Francis Goth.

Jon and I met in 3rd grade and quickly became good friends. He was someone that everyone could instantly feel comfortable around and had a giving spirit. The world lost an incredible person this past week. I’m praying for his family and everyone devasted by the sudden loss. Rest in peace, man.
