Lucy Crook

DEFOREST – Lucy E. Crook, age 83, passed away, peacefully, at her home on Monday, June 9, 2025. Lucy was born on July 31,1941, in Madison, WI to Joseph and Eleanor (Byrne) Schlimgen. She married the love of her life, Rodney Crook, on January 27, 1962. Lucy was an avid sports fan, especially for football, bowling, and golf. She also enjoyed puzzles, reading, and Elvis. Most importantly she was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Lucy was a one-of-a-kind person who was a friend to everyone she knew.

Lucy is survived by her children, Jeff (Dawn), Robert (Lauri), and Denny (Judy); grandchildren, Leah, Jaclyn, Samantha, Meghan, Derek, and Duke; four great grandchildren; sister, Rita Shaw; brothers-in-law, Jeff Millar and Jim McKee, and sister-in-law, Dawn Schlimgen. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Jeanette, Beverly, Evelyn, Irene, and Phillip.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30AM on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 623 Jefferson Street, DeForest. A visitation will be held from 9:30AM until time of Mass on Tuesday at the church. Burial at St. Olaf Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
