Vivian Beckwith
July 13, 1932 - July 06, 2025
Obituary
Vivian Marie Beckwith, age 92, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Oak Park Place in Madison, WI. She was born on July 13, 1932, to Herman and Frances (Burnett) Ring in Madison, WI. Vivian was married to Arz Beckwith for 24 years.
Vivian lived in the Madison area her entire life, attending Pumpkin Hollow and Lowell Elementary Schools and then graduating High School from Edgewood. She worked for the City of Madison as a Parking Enforcement Officer for over 25 years. Vivian was an avid Badger football fan and owl collector. She made the best cream puffs (better than the Wisconsin State Fair), waffles with bacon and homemade spaghetti sauce. Vivian loved Elvis, enjoyed playing bingo and card games and summer days on Lake Wisconsin at the cottage. She always looked forward to her Las Vegas Trips with family and friends. In retirement Vivian truly enjoyed being a crossing guard for the Madison Police Department. She loved interacting with all the children, and they loved having her there. The thing Vivian cherished most was the time she spent with family.
Vivian is survived by her children, Steven Magli, Pamela Mullins, Cindra (Chuck Hilgenberg) Magli, Marie (Greg) Henry, Mary (Eric Quivers) Leverentz; stepchildren, Gloria Kelly, Arz R. Beckwith; six grandchildren, Justin (Channa) Magli, Brian R. (Heather) Mullins, Ashley (Andrew) Kressin, Cortney (Brandon McCafferty) Leverentz, Jessica Henry and Taylor (Jake) Arneson; nine great-grandchildren, Jaiden, Deven, Kallen, Avara, Kailey, Madison, Grant, Claire and Leo; sister Marlene (James) Korb and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arz Beckwith; sister, Jean Antoine; daughter-in-law, Sherry Magli; sons-in-law, Brian Mullins and Lyle Leverentz.
The family would like to thank Agrace Hospice and Oak Park Place staff for all the care they provided to our mother.
