Mary "Pat" Callahan

Pat Callahan, age 78, passed away on July 15, 2025, at Agrace Hospice. She was born on February 25, 1947, in Madison, Wisconsin to parents Eugene and Ann Callahan. Pat grew up on a dairy farm in Barneveld, WI, where she attended Barneveld Grade School.  Her family moved to Mt. Horeb in 1964. She graduated from Mt. Horeb High School in 1965, where she was in the National Honor Society.

Pat worked at Forest Products for a few years and Associated Physician’s for 35 plus years. She was a very private person who enjoyed her quiet time but always took time to be friendly with anyone she met. She was currently a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Madison and was a strong advocate of Catholic teachings. Kindness and giving were Pat’s virtues, which made her a good person and friend, she will be missed!

Pat is survived by her siblings Jane (Bob) Hansen and Ray Callahan; nieces and nephews Kristi (Troy) Fargo-Marx, Kevin (Michelle) Fargo, Brent (Gabrielle) Hansen, Leesa Hansen, and Darren (Carrie) Hansen; and many grand nieces and nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Kathryn (Lynn) Fargo.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Agrace Hospice for their care of Pat; also, a very special thank you to Kristi Marx who was dedicated to Pat during her final days.

A private interment will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Madison.
