Dennis Schultz

VERONA – Dennis Lynn Schultz, age 80, passed away at University Hospital on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. Denny was born on April 17, 1945 in Mondovi, WI to Elmer and Leanna (Hustad) Schultz. He graduated from Eleva-Strum High School and later attended Technical College in Eau Claire. He served honorably in the US Army. Denny married this wonderful girl, Kay Drangstveit, on August 12, 1978. He was a proud co-owner of Associated Security, Inc. Denny enjoyed bowling, golfing, and karaoke, but especially spending time with his family.  He loved hunting and fishing at his cabin in Barnes, WI.   Denny was a man of deep conviction – once he made up his mind, there was no changing it. But just as strong as his will was his heart; he gave generously of his time, talents, and resources to the ones he loved, always showing up in quiet but meaningful ways. He will be greatly missed.

Denny is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kay; children, Tami (Mark) Kitowski and Craig (Angela); grandchildren, Easton, Kenzie, Kellen, Emmett, and Malcolm; and siblings, Bonnie Okerglicki; Allen (Donna), Duane “Dewey” (Carlene), twin sister, Dianne Nichols, Carmen (Carl) Holmen, and Randy. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Denny is preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Jake Okerglicki, and Pat Nichols; and sister-in-law, Jackie.

A Memorial Service open to the public will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 220 Enterprise Drive, Verona. A Visitation will be held from 10:00AM until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.

A Celebration of Life Service for all friends and relatives will be held at the American Legion Post 459, 26097 West Mondovi Street, Eleva, WI 54738 on August 16, 2025, at 11:00AM with food and fellowship to follow.
