Obituary

DeForest - Michael "Mike" J. Adams, after a short illness passed away at Meriter Hospital in Madison on August 18, 2025, at the age of 76. He was born on July 26, 1949, to Jack W. Adams and Dolores B. (Miller) Adams in Madison, Wisconsin. Mike graduated from Madison East High School in 1967. He was employed by Electric Motors Unlimited for many years as a driver.

Mike was an avid fisherman and his love for nature took him Eagle watching whenever the opportunity arose. Mike found great joy in putting together jigsaw puzzles. He also had a display of model cars he built with great pride.

Mike is survived by his siblings, Terry (Marie) Adams, Jacki Adams (Brad Elliott), and DeeAnn (Adams) Larson; nieces and nephews, Scott (Travis) Adams, Tina (Jason) Allen, Chris (Traci) Adams, Josh Parsons, and Ben Parsons; great nieces and nephews, Andrew, Kyle, Ryan, Maddy, Mila and Zander.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marcia Adams, brother Tim (Suzie) Adams and brother-in-law, Larry Larson.

A big hug to his childhood best friend, Denny Jones, their friendship remained strong for over 60 years.

The family would like to thank cousin Diane for her love, generosity, gifts, and visits over the years. A heart felt shout out to cousin Cindy for the countless number of feathers sent and displayed throughout his apartment. The many cards sent from various relatives brought laughter and smiles to Mike's life as well.

As we mourn the loss of Mike, let us also celebrate the richness of his life and the legacy of love and kindness he leaves behind. May his spirit live on in the hearts of those who knew him, carrying his memory forward with every act of compassion and every gesture of goodwill. A private burial will be held at a later date.
