On this morning of the anniversary of Danny's birth, I am regretting that due to time, distance, and circumstance that I won't be able to attend his memorial service today. Danny was an extraordinary friend and we had spoken just two short weeks before he passed, so his passing seemed awfully sudden to me. I have too many memories of our time together to share, but they include marathon games of tabletop hockey in his parents basement, powering through Mr. Swedarsky's high school Philosophy class, many, many sporting events - particularly pick up basketball andhockey games, his visits to me out west, his long road to recovery from "the accident," and many late night drunk dial phone calls. Danny was a lot deeper than first appeared on the surface. Mostly though, Danny loved deeply - especially his daughters and family, and he was loved by all of us who knew him and will hold our memories of him all our lives.

Danny always called me Madam pres because he and I partnered up to run for student council. I was in 9th grade and he was my running mate Mr. Vice Pres! I will miss him and his humor.
