Margaret A. Powers

Madison, Wis – Margaret A. Powers, 85 of Madison Wisconsin passed away on Sunday October 5, 2025. She was born February 12, 1940, in Columbus Wisconsin to Paul and Edith (Widen) Novinska. Margaret graduated from Fennimore High School in 1958.

On January 20, 1962, she was united in marriage with Timothy Powers. They resided on the East side of Madison where together they raised four children, Thomas (Heide) Powers, Paula Jacobs, Greg (girlfriend Rhonda Kisting) Powers and Jeffery (girlfriend Jennifer Erynne) Powers. She also had three grandchildren, Jorden, Spencer and Paul Powers.

Margaret was a member of the Eagles club and Saint Peter’s Catholic Church.

She was a wiz when it came to fixing things around the house and would tend several gardens during the summer.

Margaret survived by her children; her brothers, Jean (Delores) Novinska, David (Kim) Novinska and Richard Novinska; two sisters, Barbara Olson and Kathy (William) Flemel and many nieces and nephews.

Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Timothy; her parents; sisters, Edie Matthews, Mary Hipenbecker and Dorothy Novinska; her in laws and sisters-in-law, Patricia Louis and Theresa Anderson.
