James Uttech

Madison - James “Jim” Oliver Uttech, age 77, passed away in the early morning hours of October 7th, 2025, with his wife by his side. Jim was born on April 10, 1948, in Watertown, Wisconsin, to Oliver and Eva (Turke) Uttech. He was a 1966 graduate of Watertown High School and earned a degree in Accounting from Madison Area Technical College, eventually retiring as an Accountant from Meriter Management Services. Jim met his future wife, Juli Severson in October of 1975 at the Shuffle Inn in Madison.

Jim is survived by his wife, Juli; son, Scot; grandchildren, Kylie (Josh Schneider) and Kala. He is further survived by his brother, Richard (Lynne) Uttech; sisters, Suzanne (Michael) Weihert and Gloria (Michael) McDonald all of Watertown; father-in-law, Fredrick Severson; sisters-in-law, Mary Groeschl and Sue Beiersdorf; and brother-in-law, Daniel Severson all of Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Carol; daughter-in-law, Nicole “Nikki” Uttech; grandparents, aunts and uncles; mother-in-law, Beverly Severson; and brother-in-law, Joseph Groeschl.
