As I added photos of your visit to us in Bruges, Belgium, I recall how wonderful it was, to get to know Peter, my old roommate s lovely husband. We made plans for next time, because, who would have thought there would be no next time? I m so happy we got to meet again in Wisconsin. I recall you enjoyed our little field trip to France and visiting around our city. Also remembering the losses of the second world war was something to share while you were here with Jan.We enjoyed friends, beer and wine tasting. We enjoyed good food and nice cafe s. You were curious about everything that was different. You felt at ease and it was great with you here. So happy we got to know you , Peter. I've only known Peter for a couple of years, but that didn't stop him from becoming a very close friend almost immediately. He is, and always will be one of my closest friends because of the down-to-earthiness, which was part of his character. He was a genuine friend with a very infectious laugh that brought a brightness to every conversation. To say I do and will miss Peter as a good friend would not do him justice, so I'll just end this by saying that me and my heart will miss him greatly. Goodbye Peter... you are already missed.
