Betty Mueller
December 21, 1927 - October 26, 2025
Obituary
Her journey began on December 21, 1927 in Kenosha, Wisconsin when she was born to Howard and Agnes Granger. She was born at home and joined her older brother Bob. She was followed by sister Dorothy and brothers Duke, Jim, and John. She had a great childhood and had many friends. She enjoyed roller skating and was somewhat of a tomboy. She worked in a grocery store, was a girl scout, played softball and graduated from Kenosha Bradford High School in 1946. In 1947, she moved to Milwaukee and was a bookkeeper at Lake Shore Oldsmobile where she met Frank who was also employed there. They later married on October 14, 1950 and started their family after Frank returned from army service in Korea. She was a den mother for her kids in Cub Scouts and volunteered as a reading teacher for 1st graders. She was poll worker and delivered Meals on Wheels. She loved to travel and had many memorable trips all over the United States, her favorites being Hawaii, Alaska, and family trips to Florida to see the launch of the first moon landing, Washington DC, South Dakota, and Presque Isle with all the grandkids. Betty was a great cook and hosted many memorable Thanksgiving and Christmas family gatherings.
Betty had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh and always had a kind word for everybody. After living in Brookfield for 53 years she moved to DeForest, Wisconsin.
Betty is survived by her children Mike (Cindy), John (Vicki), and Jim (Karen); grandchildren Dan (Cory), Ben, Andy (Elizabeth), Laura (Will), and Sam (Avery); great grandchildren Calvin, Jack, Frankie, Jade and Xander. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank; parents Howard and Agnes; her brothers and sister and several other relatives and friends.
"Taking care of my husband and raising our sons has been my great achievement and brought me much joy, happiness and pride." - Betty
Her journey ended on October 26, 2025 at the age of 97. She is greatly loved by her family and will be missed.

Betty and Frank were really good people. Sue and I were very thankfully that they treated us like family and invited us to join the various holiday gatherings. They are together now and we will miss them.
