Sun Prairie/DeForest WI – Donna M. Degenhardt, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Talamore Senior Living, Sun Prairie WI. She was born on January 8, 1940, in Cashton, WI, the daughter of Sylvan and Florence (Rosenow) Degenhardt. She graduated from Tomah High School. Donna was an administrative professional for 35 years with Hydrite Chemical Company at the Cottage Grove, WI and Waterloo, IA locations.

Faith, family and friends were fundamental throughout Donna’s life. She was a member of St. Olaf Catholic Church, Deforest, WI, and an active member of the women’s auxiliary for many years. Donna enjoyed her 20-year residency in Springbrook Condominiums and served on their board of directors for approximately 10 years.

Donna enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting and crafting; many of her creations were donated to her church and local charity organizations. Donna enjoyed sports and was a Wisconsin Badger, Iowa Hawkeye, Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewers fan.

Donna is survived by her four sisters, Dorothy, Esther, Joan (Brian) and Sharon; four brothers; Richard, Joseph (Sharon), John (Phyllis), and Norbert (Maureen); and several nieces and nephews. Donna is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Cathy, Marie and Jean; and her timeshare pup Gracie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 623 Jefferson Street, DeForest, on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 12:00 NOON with Father Jim Leeser presiding. A visitation will be held from 11:00AM – NOON on Friday at the church. Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Tomah WI.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Agrace Hospice Foundation, Alzheimer’s and Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin or American Heart Association.
