Obituary
Madison, WI – Thomas Vecitis, age 67, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, WI. He was born on March 17, 1958 in Milwaukee, WI at the Milwaukee County Hospital, the son of a young mother who had migrated from Latvia in 1951.
Tom’s early years found him living at Milwaukee County Children’s Home and Southern Wisconsin Center. He moved west in 1967 to the Central Wisconsin Center where he made many friends. Tom’s laugh and smiles will live on in the people that loved him. Tom, we all hope you’re listening to your beloved country music “they placed a wreath upon his door and soon they’ll carry him away”. “Forever and ever, Amen”.
A private road trip, traveling with Tom’s cremated remains, is being planned for a later date.
