Dorothy "Ginny" Replinger

MADISON – Dorothy Virginia “Ginny” Replinger, age 89, died on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 in Madison, WI under the care of SSM Hospice. She was born on February 1, 1936 in Dodgeville, WI, the daughter of Fred and Dorothy (Vivian) Breckon.

Ginny was united in marriage to Phillip G. Replinger on January 26, 1963 in Madison. She worked as a nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital for over 30 years. She enjoyed the simple things in life, like gardening and reading. She remained active in her community and enjoyed helping at her church. Above all, Ginny cherished spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her 3 children, Kevin Replinger, Karen (Roger) Biechler, and Kathy Avila Replinger; 4 grandchildren, Chaz Ring, and Liam, Marissa, and Seth Avila; sister, Linda Hanson; brother, Pat Breckon; daughter-in-law, Jill Replinger; sister-in-law, Sarah Breckon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Keith Replinger; brother, Homer Breckon; daughter-in-law, Amy Replinger; and brother-in-law, Lloyd Hanson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 401 S. Owen Dr., Madison, WI, with Fr. Brian Wilk presiding. Visitation will take place from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Monday, December 15 at Ryan Funeral Service Legacy Center, 6728 Mader Dr., Madison, WI, as well as, one hour prior to the Mass, from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Tuesday, at the church. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4600 American Pkwy, Ste. 103, Madison, WI 53718.
