Donald Thomas

MADISON - Donald Floyd Thomas, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. Don was born on April 16, 1933, in Madison, WI, to Floyd and Ethel (Ditleuson) Thomas. After graduating from Madison East High School, he enlisted in the US Navy. Don worked his way up on the railroad and retired as an engineer. He was the caregiver for his mother after his father passed away. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on his cabin. Don was loved and he will be greatly missed.

Don is survived by his siblings, Chris (Gayle) Thomas and Beverly J. (James) Barter; and sister-in-law, Janet Thomas of AZ. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Phillip Thomas and Bob Thomas.

A service with Full Military Honors will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Roselawn Memorial Park, 401 Femrite Ave, Monona.
