Obituary

Jane Addamo-Reinke, 83, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026 at Attic Angel Assisted Living, Middleton, Wisconsin. Jane was born and raised on a dairy farm in Arcadia, Wisconsin, the oldest of six children. She graduated from Arcadia High School and moved to Madison, where she met and married Gus Addamo on June 2, 1962.  Jane and Gus had one son, Jim, and he was their pride and joy. Jane worked in production and food service at Oscar Mayer for many years and retired in 2003. Following her retirement, Jane became a READI volunteer with Oscar Mayer, an organization that supported the quality of lives in the Greater Madison Community. She also volunteered at the Overture Center for the Arts for many years and took great pride in being a choir member at St. Peter Catholic Church. Jane was an avid Badger hockey fan and enjoyed supporting both the men’s and women’s teams. She also loved boating with her family and friends. Jane enjoyed hosting 4th of July parties at her home. She married Gordon Reinke on July 4, 1985.

Jane adored her grandchildren, Zach and Anna, and spent countless hours attending their sporting events and other extracurricular activities. Jane was overjoyed to have two great granddaughters and always asked about them. Jane was a kind, thoughtful, and generous person who loved and supported her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Jane is survived by her son, James (Sue) Addamo of Madison; sisters, Ruth Pedretti of Brice Prairie; Lois (David) Ekern of Galesville; brothers, Robert (Doris) Walske of Eau Claire, Charles (Sue) Walske of Pigeon Falls; grandchildren, Zach (Riley) Addamo of Middleton, Anna (Hunter) Darger of McFarland; great-granddaughters, Stella Jane and Finley Ruth Addamo; stepchildren, Richard (Patty) Reinke of Dodgeville, Laura Reinke of Friendship; step-grandchildren, Brian, Dusty, Katie, Jonathan, Brad, Melinda; and 5 step-great-grandchildren.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Lambert and Lucille (Schank) Walske; husband Gus Addamo in 1983 and later husband Gordon Reinke in 2003; brother, Michael Walske; brother-in-law, Earl Pedretti; and dear friend, Karen Piper.

We would like to thank the staff at Attic Angel Assisted Living and Agrace Hospice Care for their compassionate care of Jane, especially in her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Attic Angel Assisted Living (Middleton, WI) or Agrace Hospice Care (Madison, WI).

Jane was a quiet supporter of her beloved son Jim and her extended family. I always felt she was 100% in the present with anyone. Jim is a very dear friend. Our families are very close. I am especially saddened by the loss of his mother whom he loved dearly. She is near you now Jim and will always be near you. Deep condolences to the entire family!
