Verona - Rodger W. Stampfli, age 88, of Verona, passed away peacefully at his home on January 11, 2026.
Rodger was born at his family farm home on July 19, 1937, to Fred and Nina (Randorf) Stampfli. He met the love of his life, Audrey Sherven, at a dance hall known as Club 18. They were united in marriage on June 18, 1960, at York Memorial Lutheran Church in Blanchardville. Together, they made their home in Verona.
Rodger worked as the purchasing agent at Carnes Manufacturing in Verona for more than 40 years, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. Outside of work, he was an avid bowler, enjoyed golfing, the Green Bay Packers, and the Milwaukee Brewers. He especially cherished time spent at his cabin on Lake Alice in Tomahawk, a place that brought him great peace and happiness. Rodger and Audrey enjoyed traveling and touring together to many places over the years. He also enjoyed watching traffic from the porch or front window with a two-finger pour of Canadian Mist each afternoon.
Rodger is survived by his children, Kevin Stampfli, Pam (Jim) Licht, Rita Cripe, and Jason (Cindi) Stampfli. He was a proud grandfather to Heather (Ross) Westra, Travis (Abby) Licht, Brooke (Alice) Stampfli, Melanie (Ryan) Kinjerski, Alexa (Maxim) Shershnev, Connor Stampfli, Blake Dey, and Jackson and Trinity Stampfli. He was blessed with great-granddaughters Kaylee and Aubrey Westra, and Joanna and Charlotte Kinjerski.
He is also survived by his siblings, Kenneth Stampfli, Norma Ballweg, Lowell Stampfli, and LaVern (LuAnn Wild) Stampfli, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
Rodger was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Audrey; his brother, Denny Stampfli; his sister, Verna Baumgartner; his son-in-law, Paul Cripe; and his daughter-in-law, Rachel Stampfli.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to the compassionate staff at Agrace Hospice for their care and support.
