One of Anne's group who enjoyed her was "The Tribe". With a smile on her face, she always mentioned how much she enjoyed meeting and talking with such energizing women. When we had our "sit down” reminiscence when each of us share a memory from our childhood, a life changing situtation, the impact of a special person, etc, Anne always had a story with wisdom and about acceptance for us. Her many years of community and women’s causes left an indelible mark on our city. She style was quiet and did what was good for the greater common good. With respect and rememberance. Beautifully Written. Anne and my mom were friends from college-70+ years. When I moved to Madison, Anne was a lovely connection to get us on our feet. When my mom moved here in 2019, the three of us would have great fun going out to lunch. Anne was a fantastic person, and we will miss her

Condolences to children, grandchildren, and the extended family on the loss of Anne, a truly remarkable person. I knew Anne for many years as an advocate for children and families. As Director of Dane County Human Services and Secretary of Health and Family Services, and for years before that, I admired what she accomplished and the way she did it. As a member and later chair of the WCCF/Kids Forward Board, I treasured her continued counsel and participation. She was a strong mother tree who seeded much growth around her - helping children to grow up safe, healthy, happy and successful.

This is such a beautiful and joyful obit. Anne, like my step-mother, was at the vanguard of women's politics, social conscience, and community engagement. I only met her once, through KT, but I remember her charm, and wit, and generosity. Thank you for posting this obit. Anee's legacy in Madison will never be forgotten.
