Lawrence Lange

Lawrence "Larry" Arthur Lange, age 86, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026. He was born on March 11, 1939, to Arthur and Helen (Arians) Lange in Madison, WI. Larry married Ingeburg "Inge" Forkel on May 30, 1964, in Sun Prairie, WI.

Larry attended Edgewood High School before continuing his education at Madison Business College. Following his schooling, he proudly served in the Army Reserves, an experience that shaped his discipline and sense of responsibility throughout his life. He began his professional career working at P. Paint Company and later went on to own and operate his own real estate business, a career he maintained for most of his life.

Outside of work, golf was Larry’s true passion. The golf course was where he felt most at home, and the game remained a constant source of joy, relaxation, and camaraderie throughout his life. Whether playing a round or talking about the sport, golf was not just a hobby for Larry—it was a way of life.

Larry is survived by his wife, Inge; siblings, Lucy (Duane) Strassmann, Elanor (Michael "Mick") Johnson; nieces and nephews, Dianna (Bob) Glynn, Janna (Pete) Smith, Michele (Pete) Marshall, Chris (Laurie) Johnson, Ann Donahue; 11 great nephews and nieces; other family and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; and two grandnephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Ryan Funeral Home, 220 Enterprise Drive, Madison, WI. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the Funeral Home.
