Obituary

MADISON - Sharon Joan Flinn, age 84, passed away at Meriter Hospital early on Saturday, January 24, 2026. Sharon was born on June 25, 1941, in Chicago, IL to Alex and Clara London. When she was three years old, her family moved to Madison, WI, in the Green Bush area. Sharon graduated from Central High School in 1959. She still kept contact with those friends up until the last few years. She met her future husband, Dick Flinn, on a Halloween morning, on a taxi ride to school. They were together from that day on and married on October 21, 1959. Unfortunately she was widowed in 1974. Dick and Sharon had purchased a house in 1961, where she lived up until her death with her beloved daughter. She was a chief inspector for the city of Madison’s elections for 32 years. Sharon enjoyed, gardening, knitting, and just learning new things. Despite her small demeanor, she was strong minded and was always helping others.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Pamela; and siblings, Judy London, Michael London, and Linda (Richard) Larochelle. She is further survived by eight nieces and nephews, other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and loving husband, Richard.

No services will held at this time.

A special thanks to all the people that helped care for Sharon the last few years.
