DEFOREST – Jay K. Dunn, age 59, was born on June 10, 1966, in Madison, Wis. He passed away peacefully at home Saturday, February 7, 2026. He was happily married to Sharon for 32 years. They raised a wonderful son, Jay, together.

Jay loved his family and friends and enjoyed the time he spent with them. He was very creative and was mastering the world of 3D printing. Engineering solutions for any problem he was faced with was engrained in his soul. He was always taking on the challenge of fixing something broken and discarded.

He enjoyed kayaking with his wife and sister and taking UTV rides with his brother, sister-in-law and wife. Jay also loved all animals and had many pets over the years, including his beloved dog Rycher and cat Trooper and the various reptiles and snakes he cared for. Jay worked at Lab Corp (formally Covance Inc) for more than 26 years. He is dearly missed by his workmates, family, and friends.

Jay is survived by his wife, Sharon; son, Jay (Jade); brothers, George (Janet), Lloyd, Danny, Kerry, and Peter; sisters, Jill, and Darci; and many, many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Georgetta and Elmyren; brothers, Frank, Kelly, and Darrin; and sisters, Kip, Tina and Patti.

A celebration of Jay’s life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Ryan Funeral Home 6924 Lake Rd, De Forest, WI. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
