All the memories posted here are so true and bring joy to my heart. I know Jerry through Wellsping United Methodist Church. I speak of Jerry in the present tense - he is enjoying everlasting life with Christ. I envision Jerry learning even more about electricity in lightning and plumbing with rain. He teaches us to see things from different perspectives - heaven isn't limited to the skies. I am blessed to have served with Jerry on the Board of Trustees. As said in these memories, Jerry can do anything -with his faith in our Loving Creator. God's Holy Spirit continues flowing through Jerry and through us as we share our memories. To Jerry and his effervescent love, joy, and kindness-- Cheers!

I'm so sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. I did not work that closely with Jerry at the DNR, but he always had a cheerful "hello" for me. My most recent memory of Jerry was speaking with him at the DNR retirees Christmas luncheon. I'm so glad I was able to spend a few moments with him. I will miss seeing him at future retiree functions. My very deepest condolences. Janet Kernen, coworker

I am John Condron and I was an audit and quality assurance chemist at the WDNR until I retired in January 2020. I had the distinct pleasure of working with Jerry on at least one occasion. Jerry was probably the nicest, genuine, and humble person that I ever met at the WDNR. He always had a smile on his face! I can beli ve that he was a great husband, father, and grandfather. When I worked with him he was a wastewater engineer in the Wastewater Bureau. I believe that he rode his bike to the DNR headquarters in GEF - 2 every day that he could. I met Jerry when we were helping another DNR employee move into a new house. It was an honor to know Jerry. I am sorry that I missed his service but was out of town for about three days. To the Rodenburg Family I will keep Jerry and his Family in my prayers. Sincerely John Condron retired WDNR employee.

My memories of Jerry are of his never ending volunteering to Divine Savior/Wellspring United Methodist Church in Madison, WI. I witnessed his dedication to give of hiimself in the maintaining of the inside and outside of the building. Was there anything he couldn’t do….I don’t think so! He was a quiet giving beautiful Jerry giving back to God what was given to him in his gifts and talents through the church. He served on Trustees giving knowledgeable guidance and follow through on needed projects. He took church members on guided tours of the Madison lakes. Thank you Jerry, you have been a God given gift to all who have know you! Rest well Jerry. A donation has been given to the Ice Age Trail Alliance.

Jerry was my first real boss. What a great human being and he was such a nice guy and fun to be around. I am so lucky to have known him and worked with him. He really left his mark on the Wastewater Program and touched so many lives.
